Alexandros MAKRIS
Faculty
A specialist in Anaesthesiology and Pain Medicine, now serving as a Senior Consultant in the Anaesthesiology Department of Asklepieion Hospital of Voula in Athens, Greece, a trauma center, covering an over a million area of population. His research interest is on regional anaesthesia, ultrasound guided techniques, perioperative and chronic pain management and anaesthesia in special needs patients. He has a Master’s Degree in “International Medicine and Health Crisis Management” from the Medical University of Athens and a PhD in Neurosciences from the same institution. He is an EDRA (European Diploma of Regional Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Management) Diplomate and EDRA examiner, EDRA Board member and the Treasurer in the board of the national section of ESRA (European Society of Regional Anaesthesia). Actively involved in teaching, lecturing and organizing of several seminars, congresses and workshops nationwide and internationally. He is a reviewer and has published numerous studies involving his research interests and clinical work in peer and non-peer reviewed journals.
